Christmas at my place:

Apricots warm off the tree
Northland madness for them and me
Fruit mince mixed and macerating
Christmas time anticipating

Gingerbread houses loaded with lollies
Shopping at Vinnies, other follies
Presents hidden, all out of sight
Waiting there til Christmas night

Carols singing, stories told
Santa, Jesus, new and old
Nativity, sparkly lights
The tree is up, Christmas sights

Families, presents, times tricky and good
Please give me some Christmas pud
I don’t get the Jesus thing
Angels, a star, real Christmas bling

Jesus came and walked the earth
Born to give us second birth
Hope with arms and feet and hands
With outcast, poor, and hurt he stands

Hark the Herald Angels sing
Glory to the newborn King.

Untidyness: Life is really not a nursery rhyme

Well my friends, life is an untidy things sometimes, isn't it? We think we are going in one direction and end up in another. And in all that untidyness lies the essence, the colour, the life, of life. Who can make sense of that?
Here's another post from Beth that totally resonated for me!
